Background

I had wanted to do it anyway--at one point TGC was set aside for the second book that I couldn't ever get myself to write--but upon getting involved with Project Download, I decided that having Erin upload the parody to her Mega Upload account might be a good way to bring in some more hits. Which it did, although we still didn't have anywhere near enough, and I was contemplating other things to post (links to icons? Other parodies?) when, after several strokes of bad luck, Erin finally received a mystery donation of $9000--enough to have her surgery. As of this writing (late January 2008), she hasn't had it yet, but it was a happy ending to that part of the story, at least.
